And why should you care, right?
Well, I'm no one. I'm your average girl living a relatively average life. I'm just that girl you passed on the street this morning on your way to work. You might have held the door for me once, or maybe you accidentally tripped me. I could be the girl three in front of you at the airport security line. I'm the girl who has stared at you in class but won't ever admit it to your face. The girl who looks enviously into your cab as she walks through wind and snow. The girl who spent the night on your bed while you were out because she was too drunk to walk herself home. The girl who waits for the local while you pass by on the express train. The girl who thought about running for student government but figured no one would vote for her. The girl you see sitting in the park and reading a book, smiling as you walk by with your dog. I'm the girl whose coffee you smell brewing from three doors down. I'm everyone, but mostly, I'm no one.
This blog isn't about the movies or books or television shows. It's not about perfect moments or saying the right thing at the right time; it's about fucking up and crying at night, about laughing with friends and taking pictures, about unrequited love and the game of being young, about school and family and friends and living in New York City. It's vaguely about me, but more about the world around me. What it does, what happens, what I see, what I experience from it, what it teaches me, what it has to offer anyone and everyone.
This is just the truth. It's not to impress or mesmerize, just to display. To explain. It's an anonymous, veritable, real, never imagined, truth. This is my life.
So, why should you care? Well, you really don't have to care. But, just in case you're curious about the girl looking at pasta in aisle five, I'll be here.
Always,
The Amplified Shadowed Side.
